Regular Expression has by far been the single most useful skill I picked up this year. Being dyslexic, I’ve always struggled in working with long sets of string data in my scripts, so I always avoided RegEx. However, since taking the time to learn it, it has turned out that (as usual) my fears were completely unfounded. RegEx allows me to take string data, chop it up, and treat it like chunks of data in my head, rather than a string of words. If that is hard to understand, try having dyslexia.
